Rachel Rettman, MBA
Founder and CEO
Certified Pilates Instructor, Nutrition and Health Coach, Lifestyle Consultant
Rachel Rettman is a Certified Pilates Instructor, nutrition consultant, and dedicated wellness entrepreneur. After receiving a BA in Psychology from Boston University, an MBA from Georgetown University and working for companies including UBS, Levi Strauss and Co., Starbucks, and Barclays Global Investors, Rachel was rear-ended in a 2007 car accident that opened her eyes to the importance of incorporating sustainable, long-term health and fitness activities into one’s life. She discovered that her 7 previous years of Pilates and fitness experience were a foundation on which to build her skills as a knowledgeable and dedicated instructor and motivator with the expertise to effectively train a variety of clients, both injured and fully functional. She began her teacher training in Los Angeles in early 2008 and was certified through the prestigious Body Arts and Science International (BASI) comprehensive Pilates teacher training program at the start of 2009.
Her combination of business experience, education, Pilates training, nutrition planning, and personal experience dealing with chronic injuries (and the challenges inherent in creating work/life balance) allow Rachel unique insight into the wellness needs of modern, busy people. She currently teaches both group classes and one-on-one sessions at Portland-area athletic clubs, Pilates studios, private homes as well as online; she previously trained and taught in Pacific Palisades and West Hollywood, CA. Rachel has local as well as national clients and is currently teaching a variety of group mat class formats and group equipment classes (and private training) at Portland Pilates (on the SE waterfront near Clark/Lewis and Bunk Bar) and at the Nike World Headquarters campus.
In addition to individual and group Pilates training, Rachel is focused on helping individuals and organizations to incorporate healthy habits into daily life through the medically renowned and studied Take Shape For Life coaching platform. She creates employer-provided work-site wellness programming and is dedicated to integrating manageable, executable health tools and techniques into everyday life. Corprett provides comprehensive functional fitness, nutrition and holistic habits of health programming to small-medium companies and also produces workshops, corporate retreat events, and wellness challenges for large and small companies alike.
Rachel has experience working with both men and women, seasoned athletes and novices, and injuries; she truly enjoys being able to tailor programming to fit individual needs and helping people to achieve personal wellness goals. It is never too late to get healthy, and every small step equals movement in the right direction.
